About Lindsay Slaton:
The Richmond, Virginia native currently resides in Waldorf, Maryland. Lindsay has been in love with music since she was a little girl. Belting out tunes as a member of the childrenās choir at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, it was there that she realized she had a gift in singing. As she grew up, singing for the Lord took a backseat and she pursued an R&B career at the age of 18. Lindsay signed with an independent label and had high hopes of soaring up the R&B charts, but it never happened. Lindsay cried out to God asking Him why she hadnāt āmade itā yet. It wasnāt until life dealt her several blows that she realized that God wanted her to sing HIS music. God bringing her through each and every trial gave her a new song to sing.
āWhen I truly found God and started going to church, Gospel music became a part of me,ā says Lindsay. āThe things that I can do with my voice and the songs I am writing didnāt start to happen until I committed my life to Him. Because I am walking in my calling, I believe Heās given me something new. Music has gone to another level for me. I donāt want to sing anything else, but Gospel.ā
